We heard on the coconut telegraph that Jimmy Buffett was at his sister’s restaurant and bar (known as Lulu’s on the Intracoastal Waterway) in Gulf Shores, AL. We had gotten a similar message ten years earlier when Lulu’s was located at the mouth of Fish River and Week’s Bay. That time Jimmy performed outside for his family and friends and sang into a microphone covered by a crown bag to reduce wind noise. His performance was fantastic! We thought he might be performing this time, but he was there just to visit with friends and family. We’ve been Parrotheads forever and it was great to see him in person again. He was very gracious and gave us his autograph on a Lulu’s bucket that we purchased in the gift shop. The song in the background of this video is “A Salty Piece of Land” that came with his book by the same name.
